The mission of the Annual ADVICE 5K Turkey Trot is to promote the sport of running through an annual charitable event (5K run/walk) and support the common interests of runners and walkers of all abilities during all stages of life. As the Annual ADVICE 5K Turkey Trot promotes and encourages running and walking, it improves individual health and fitness and overall community health. To this end, the Annual ADVICE 5K Turkey Trot promotes and conducts its charitable event, a 5K run/walk held annually on Thanksgiving Day in Duck; disseminates information on running and walking; and supports related activities.
Volunteers will be needed for: Nov. 21st, 22nd and 23rd 2017. Generally, volunteers are assigned to various positions related to set-up, clean-up, or assisting participants during our event and are outside for their entire shift (should dress for the existing and forecasted weather). All volunteers receive a commemorative event tee and are entered in the post-race prize giveaway (but must be present to win!) IMPORTANT: Volunteer recruitment and information about being part of the event’s “Turkey Crew” will available in AUGUST 2015 and volunteer rosters will be FINALIZED BY SEPTEMBER 30th.
