Tanger Outlet Center Leads Expedition To Antarctica

In 2006, Tanger Outlet Center set the bar high by claiming the lead sponsorship for The Outer Banks Hospital’s first black tie dinner dance.  This year, Tanger will again hold the title of lead sponsor to the black tie dinner dance on January 21st at the Wright Brothers Memorial Pavilion.  “It’s been rewarding to see the hospital expand cancer services over the past six years,” said Debbie Moore, General Manager at Tanger.   “This disease touches so many people and treatment can extend for months.  It’s great to know that surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and lymphedema are available right here on the Outer Banks, along with a variety of assistance for patients and their families.”

When The Outer Banks Hospital’s Development Council began planning for its first Flights of Fancy gala, many people questioned scheduling an event in January.  “I knew the choice was right,” saidMoore.  “People are finally unwinding from the busy summer, the holiday season is over and the dark months of winter are upon us.  The gala gives everyone a reason to celebrate.”

Joining Tanger and Flights of Fancy gala chairman, Gail Hodges, on the January 21st Antarctica expedition with sponsorships this year are OBX Bank, TowneBank of Currituck, University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina and Waldt Construction.
