Being physically active is one of the best things you can do for your health. Physical activity is important to employers and the general public because it helps to reduce the risks of preventable diseases, which are putting an increased strain on the health care system, in turn causing insurance cost to rise. People who do not undertake regular physical activity increase their risks for colon and breast cancer; become depressed or moody; gain weight; suffer from heart attacks, or can develop a compromised immune system. So get moving now! Walk, run, jog, or skip your way to better health and participate in the 5th annual Currituck County Run @ Work Day.
